Catherine is currently completing her bachelor’s program in law at Université Laval. Before studying law, Catherine earned a bachelor of science at Université Laval. She worked in health care for five years, including three years as a clinical nurse. This training and experience allowed her to develop  a strong interest in the issue of access to health care and the search for solutions to improve Quebec’s health care system. 

During the course of her university studies Catherine became involved with Université Laval’s health sciences students association as vice-president of institutional affairs and vice-president of financial affairs. She recently took on the position of vice-president of finance with Université Laval’s health law committee. 

Combining her interest in the field of health with that of law, Catherine participated in a legal drafting competition on health law for which she won first place. She also distinguished herself at the 2023 edition of the Coupe Jacques Deslauriers, where she and her colleague were recognized as best mooting pair. 

Catherine’s strong interest in the development of cultural competency led to co-op internships in Senegal and Haiti. She also took part in an international and intercultural professional internship in Benin.
