Frédéric completed his Bachelor of Law (LL.B) at the Université de Montréal. He was awarded the Bélanger Sauvé Scholarship for the highest standing in the administrative law course. Prior to his law studies, Frédéric completed a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences at the University of Sherbrooke and a DEC in Sciences, Letters and Arts at Collège de Maisonneuve.

Extracurricular activities are a central part of Frédéric's life. Passionate about the performing arts, he was involved in improv for almost nine years. He was also president of his bachelor's degree class in environmental sciences. At the Université de Montréal, Frédéric was involved in his first year as a social representative, then as vice-president of the Environment committee and the Arts committee for the faculty of law. He was also vice-president of student life for the Université de Montréal law students' association. During his tenure, the university's rectorate awarded the association the first prize for hosting welcome activities that promoted safety and diversity.

Frédéric was also involved as an intern at the Centre québécois du droit de l'environnement. He also participated in the founding of a charity organization promoting the rich biodiversity of the St. Lawrence River. He has worked for Professor Catherine Piché in the Class Action Laboratory and with Shana Chaffai-Parent on civil procedure issues.

In his spare time, Frédéric loves to cook, ski, bike, run and hike.
