Kyle Robert McMillan is an associate in our Litigation Group in Calgary. He maintains a general corporate litigation and dispute resolution practice, and has experience in commercial transaction disputes, complex construction disputes, economic torts, administrative law and employment matters. Kyle has served clients in many sectors, including oil and gas, energy services, energy transport, power and infrastructure, logistics, and construction.

Kyle is a supervising lawyer for the Pro Bono Students Canada Dare to Dream Project, which delivers a mock trial program to Siksika First Nation students. He also volunteers with the Civil Claims Duty Counsel and Queen’s Bench Amicus Projects, providing pro bono legal advice to unrepresented litigants. In law school Kyle acted as Student Director of the Tax Court Assistance Program at Student Legal Assistance, and volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada on a research project focusing on novel emissions trading systems.

Kyle holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in geology from the University of Manitoba, and worked for several years as an exploration geologist in Canada and internationally. He holds J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Calgary. Kyle is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Calgary Bar Association. He is also a Professional Geoscientist registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta, and a Registered Parliamentarian registered with the National Association of Parliamentarians.
